with us

and the vizsla rescue league

she's a wee thing
less than 35 lbs,
has facial scars
(from trying to escape a crate)
we thought about calling her Seal
(those sexy scars and all)

she's currently asleep on mom's lap.

why do american's know the names of
waaaay too many apple varieties
yet only know of 1 banana?

when i was a but a child
(last week)
we had to make our own fun.
and one of my favourite things to do
on those clear dark nights
was to get a helium balloon
and a lightstick (ideally neon green)

and play UFO SIGHTING!

gosh. what fun.
see, you break open the lightstick
and pour the glowing "liquid" over the balloon.
release balloon.
watch silent glowing object move through the sky.
call local radio/tv station and report ufo sighting.
count how many other calls they've had.
run like hell.
giggle.

repeat.
