yesterday i played my first 18 holes of golf.
cape neddick in ogunquit maine.
a lovely course.
i even got a bogey on a hole.
other than that..i didn't really keep score
although the words *double par* kept coming up.
on a different note:
had to buy new pants because none of mine fit me.
size 6 at JCrew.

they have an iced german chocolate decaf
that is FAN-tastic.
with a wee bit o'cream
and a pkg of splenda

off to bonfire for a duck confit taco

my 3 wood had a crack in it
i know this only because it made a
*BOINK*
noise when i hit it.
that wouldn't be unusual for me
but it also happened with my golf instructor.
so i brought it back to wayland golf
and they exchanged it for a new one.

a few years ago
one of my childhood friends
died in a car accident.
we had been close growing up.
even after she died
i would talk to her
every now and again
when I thought about her
or if something was happening
where I thought she might be watching me.
it was always a one sided conversation.
just so we all know.
but then last night.
i dreamed about her.
we were having a conversation.
and she said,
*you should play the lottery monday*
and i asked her if winning the lottery
would cause more problems
than it would solve...
and would i be substituting the problems
of having money
for the ones of not having money.
and she said,
*play the lottery on monday*
and so i shall.

boston gay pride parades
that i've been to
and not just because i caught
lots and lots of beads
or that i traded a smooch
for a vw t-shirt
but because of the joy
of a beautiful day
and a beautiful girl
and wonderful friends
and the couple that got married
after 49 years together

and then out to see the gay men's chorus at 8pm.
last night was kim english at manray
gina made a comment that she hadn't
been to manray in about 2 years

been to manray in about 20 years.

today was the puppy's first day at puppy school.
