2005 goals revisited

Sunday, December 04, 2005

This is my post from Dec 04, 2005...lets see how i did

taking my cue from Julia,
i decided to list 12 things i'd like to do
in 2005 (one for each month)

1. Habitat for Humanity Yup, did it..volunteered.
2. go to New Zealand. Nope.
3. plant a garden. Yes, and grew yellow pear tomatoes from seed. SEED, i tell you.
4. finish 2 new quilts. Didn't even finish 2 old quilts.
5. build a breakfast nook. Gina did...i merely supervised
6. stain the deck and fence. Hmmm..no...Actually we need to get a new fence, so why stain the old one. and I want to build another deck.
7. finish 1 knitting project. When you say finish....? ok. fine. no.
8. read 100 books. Ha. Yes, yes i did. At least 100.
9. can win the lottery be a goal? no matter, i didn't win more than $3 (i should have been more specific...like "win the $180+ million jackpot from powerball"
10. play squash once a week (this is along the lines of work out regularly) I tried to bike as per the instructions of my orthopod, and i walked the pups up the mountain every day...and some days we even went back down the mountain!
11. finish 125 pages of a writing project AND send it out! augh! NO. No, i didn't write 125 pages. and No, i didn't send out the 9 pages i did write. woe be unto me.
12. give up sugar...again. and again. and again. meh. there is always next year.

whew.
i'd better get started....again....

Good job friend!

A few things:

Today I saw a Boston Police man almost kill me with his vehicle so that he could pull over a car that turned left on a yellow light. I think it was the same man.

Last night, Brian got up and excused himself, put on his coat and went into the elements. He returned with a bottle of Amber.

Thank you A&G
