Unfortunately for the human condition, it's not linear. Consequences are an indirect choice and also have consequences. They call it "reverberations", or "after-effect" but I prefer to call them "consequences" - indirect or no. It gives them the proper due and respect they deserve. Life is one big consequence... some call it karma... I call it choice. One needs to consider things beyond one's own sphere. (Or did I miss the literary reference?)
