last night, as i was getting my sushi at the market
and waiting in line when...
i dropped the sushi
splat.
on the floor.
wah.
i scooped up the container and went back to the sushi counter
and hung my head.
the guy was very nice and gave me a new batch
but still, i felt terrible.
until i went back in line
and there was this fellow, who had been standing behind me in line
and i watched him bend down
pick up a piece of yellow fin tuna off the floor
and pop it in his mouth
he looked at me and said,
"waste not. want not."
and i thought...good lord, man.

now, i'm sure the 10 second rule was not in effect here.
1) we were in a very public place
2) we are talking about raw fish
3) raw fish dropped on the floor of a busy market
4) eek. i think i'm actually wigged out by the whole incident
