went to the 3rd annual pig roast & charity raffle last night
before heading off to 2-step with the gays for pasty.
wore my red snakeskin cowboy boots.
and managed to get my knee brace on under my jeans.
let's just say i was all that and a side of slaw.

the pig pull was amazing
friends of friends of friends and their younger brother who roasted a pig on a spit in his back yard.
yowza.
thank god i had on my boots (see above)

dancing was grand. who knew i'd love to 2-step?
still taking it easy because of my knee, but there was a fair amount of giggling
and a good time was had by all
well, except for that poor woman that i accidently stepped on with my size 42 boots
my fault. completely.

got the new harry potter book.
actually thought about going out at midnight on the 21st to get it
but who was i kidding?
1) i don't like kids..i mean, they are nice in a lite butter and wine sauce, but that late in the day i'd have indigestion
2) i haven't wanted to dress up in a cloak since i was about 15 and into my wicca-ness
3) ok..not exactly true, my wicca-ness usually comes out on tuesday nights when buffy the vampire slayer is on. that willow is a totally righteous red-head.
4) i've already had to wear glasses with tape on them. it was my first year of college. i had black horn rimmed glasses. i thought it was some sort to chic-retro cool thing. actually it was just nerdy. especially when someone sat on them. and i didn't have money to get them fixed. and, i'm not making this up here, my roommate put tape on the side to hold them together. to be fair, we did use a black sharpie to try to hide the colour of the tape. i didn't say this was going to be pretty. i'm just retelling the story. therapy has helped some.
